Turizm yerel ekonomik kalkınmayı harekete geçiren sektörlerden bir tanesidir. 2000'li yıllarda Beypazarı, özellikle yerel yönetimin liderliğinde, tarihsel ve kültürel özelliklerin korunması ile kent kimliğinin vurgulanması ve turizmin geliştirilmesine yönelik girişimlerin sonucunda, iç turizmde adından başarıyla söz edilen bir kent durumuna gelmiş, yerel ekonomi turizm sektörünün gelişmesine bağlı olarak canlanmıştır. Bu makalede, turizm gelişiminin yerel ekonomiye olan etkileri istatistiki veriler, çeşitli kurum ve kuruluşlar ile yapılan görüşmeler ve hanehalkı / firma anketleri ile değerlendirilmektedir. Sonuç olarak, Beypazarı örneğinden yola çıkarak, turizm gelişmesi ile yerel ekonomik gelişmenin sağlanmasında öne çıkan başarı faktörleri ile bu başarının sürdürülebilmesi için uygulanması gereken süreçler ortaya konmaktadır. Tourism is one of the stimulating sectors in local economic development. Beypazarı has become a well-known domestic tourism center in 2000s, especially through the leadership of municipality, by tourism development initiations such as the conservation and renovation of the historical and cultural assets emphasizing the authentic identity of the city. The tourism development in Beypazarı has also vitalized the local economy. In this article, the local economy effects of the tourism development is evaluated through the statistical data, in-depth survey with local institutions and household / firm surveys. As a conclusion, through the case of Beypazarı, the success factors in tourism development and local economic development and the factors necesarry to provide the sustainability of this success is put forward |
